Hello, I’m Arttu

I’m originally from Finland but grew up in Malaysia and have lived in South Korea, Spain, Australia, Japan, and currently reside in San Jose, CA with my wife, our son, and our dog, Mikko.

I developed a strong passion for sports at a young age, beginning with karate, skiing, soccer & ice hockey and eventually competing competitively in soccer, rugby, volleyball and kickboxing.

While earning my University Degree in Sports Management & Exercise Science in Australia, I worked with Arslan Magomedov, 4x World Muay Thai Champion. I began my coaching career working with amateur and professional kickboxers and continued to study through the Human Performance Centre and several different sporting and health organizations to become a certified strength & conditioning coach and nutritionist.

I furthered my education in the field of nutrition for performance and longevity and take a holistic approach in teaching people human movement, proper nutrition, and management of external stress factors while assessing internal blood markers, assigning lifestyle prescriptions and building a system that is sustainable to you.

I value education, practicing what you teach, being a continued student and learning from the top individuals in the field of nutrition, health, exercise science, sports performance and holistic wellbeing. I have done a mentorship with Ben Prentiss the owner of Prentiss Hockey Performance who is a leader in coaching NHL players and James Fitzgerald the owner of OPEX Fitness. A leader in health, vitality and challenging the current state of wellbeing.

I am passionate about coaching our youth, individuals that are in athletics and individuals that have been left to figure out on their own how to navigate life after sports.

After 10+ years working professionally in the health and fitness space and playing sports nearly my whole life, I have developed a strong purpose to help others build a sustainable program to accomplish their individualized goals. The programs I build are deeply personal to each person and are created after a full assessment and understanding of where you currently stand both mentally and physically and where you want to be in the long-term.
